This Week’s Food For Thought – Forgiveness will help to heal all

Many of the problems we have in our life and the world in general is because people will not forgive, don’t want to forgive or perhaps sometimes don’t know how to forgive.

Yet un-forgiveness is a very toxic energy, drains us and often can ruin a person’s life as it grows like a cancer, becomes all consuming and very bitter.

This toxic energy can be carried through generations, often the younger generations can hold a hatred in their mindset from the un-forgiveness of their parents, grandparents and peers, from things that may have happened to them or to situations in the long distant past. A bleed through of energy which grows into a hatred and causes many problems as we often see in the world today. The younger generation had no part in the original problem, but they carry the energy and they don’t know any different.

Why is it hard to forgive others? Usually because we believe that the other party is 90% or even 100% to blame for the problem, that you are not as bad as they are, that they caused the problem and you are no part of it.

So people start to carry the load and heaviness of other people’s actions. If the ego is hurt, it will have the sense of correction, of justice: ‘I know I am right’, ‘That is not fair’ etc. Often they do not even really understand or know what the heaviness they are carrying is really about.

But if people can start to forgive from the heart, sincerely, then this kind of ‘victim’ feeling and attitude begins to dissolve. To let go and breath freely. The toxic energy of un-forgiveness hurts only the person carrying it. It does nothing to bring them a happier life.

Forgiveness is not saying what you did to me is ok…forgiveness means releasing yourself from the toxic energy. Forgiveness will bring you closer to others. It will stop the anger and the bitterness affecting those you love, your family and your friends and their lives as well as yours.

Just let go and forgive, it will bring you immediate peace.
