This Week’s Food For Thought – You Choose Your Feelings


With all the negativity we are constantly surrounded with these days, it is not surprising we sometimes feel negative ourselves.
However if your days and your mind seem filled with many unwanted negative feelings all the time, there is only one way to deal with them.
When they come, choose them and welcome them.

Don’t ask why, don’t wonder how, don’t fight them and never put yourself down for having them and  never blame someone else for how you feel.

If you do choose to blame someone else it means you are choosing to be a victim. Perhaps you want to be, perhaps that is what makes you happy.

But most of us do not want to be a victim and we want to be happy. So when the negative feelings come, even the really disturbing emotional feelings say calmly to yourself, “I choose this feeling” and know it comes because of something you have thought or done in the past, perhaps a certain belief that you have learned or an attachment that is threatened.

Choice does not mean you want the feelings it just gives you a way to take responsibility for them and  therefore responsibility for your life  and then you deal with them.

It is the first step to the healing and resolving of your emotions and to mastering your emotions and beliefs and your life.
Once you have done this, and if you really want to go forward into a happier life, you will know what to do. It will come to you
