This Week’s Food Fot Thought – Comparing Yourself To Others

We all do it or have done it, we compare ourselves to others. We also use these comparisons as judgements about ourselves and others. However when we do this it leaves us vulnerable in several ways.

It can make you feel inferior, superior or impressed, non of which are good for your soul or state of mind. These types of thought are all detrimental to your wellbeing and peace of mind because they all disregard the underlying principle of our true nature and our connection with each other, which should be respect, regard and love. These are based on your absolute uniqueness and independently generated self-esteem.

If you wish to grow spiritually and protect yourself from this vulnerability you need to make sure that your attention remains turned within towards the spiritual experience of self-respect and your inner peace.

If you can stay centred in your self-respect it will help you remain undisturbed by others around you and what they are or aren’t about.

Keep asking yourself, “Who am I?”  How would my spiritual personality respond to this event or person? This will keep you centred and happier in yourself and then you can enjoy the success and efforts of others instead of comparing. It will help you to not judge and to understand we all are unique and we all have a different path to follow and life to lead, perfect in its uniqueness, no one can be the same as someone else, we are after all a piece or part of the same jigsaw puzzle called life, and each has equal value
